20:10 - BBC Two and Red Button 1 (601) swap matches, which makes sense as arguably Kyrgios-Lopez is more exiting and of more interest (as winner to play Murray) than the match they were showing, Raonic-Sock.
20:30 - BBC Two leaves the Kyrgios-Lopez match for Today at Wimbledon.
Could have easily pushed the BBC2 schedule back this evening. The old argument again that it should really be on at 21:30 in the first week.
They just never seem to think more than five minutes ahead. It's only a repeat of QI XL on after anyway, so they could easily have dropped that or cut it to a 30-minute version.
How does Today at Wimbledon rate anyway in comparison to the last hour or so of live coverage?
Reckon it'll move to Two at 6pm. If, come 7pm, its into the third set and looking one-sided, I'd predict it'll stay on Two. If there's still at least one full set to be played at 7pm, or it looks like it'll be a thriller, it'll move back to One. But, in Scotland, it might stay on Two - there's an hour-long post-Brexit debate on BBC One Scotland at 7pm which could complicate matters.
EDIT: with so much uncertainty in the world, there's something hugely comforting about having this discussion at the same time every year.
Fairly sure at this point in the tournament before we've had the national news moved to Two and the regional news pushed back on One.
On at least one year, the nations decided to put their news on Two as well since they're able to, unlike the English regions. I've heard an apocryphal story about the EPG desk calling up one of the nations to find out what they'd be showing next on One, since they'd already put their news on Two at 6:30, only to be told "we'll show whatever network's doing". Once they were told that would be regional news, they quickly went away to find a filler.
There have been (numerous) times in the past when the national news has moved to BBC Two at 6pm, with the local news delayed until after the tennis on BBC One. Anything is possible where Murraymania is concerned.
I'm sure also in the recent past that Reporting Scotland, Newsline and Wales Today have also moved to BBC Two, while the English regions had to wait for the tennis to finish.
17:47 I think if they were going to change the schedule and move the news over to 2 it would be on the EPG by now or one of the regional news programmes would have tweeted about it.
