The current logo style is five years old! Overdue for a change, methinks!

I actually think there is still many things they could do with the current style. I don't like the current batch of idents (or trailer style), but I think the square box theme could survive another three years easily.

whatever changes Big Brother makes to the eye logo, they still seem to just stick the white BIG BROTHER text at the bottom of it.
That'll change next year, because it's C4's corporate font, and that'll change when the idents do. and they will chnage before the next BB!

You always seem to write as if you know exactly what will happen; it *might* change.

I like what I've seen here so far, some very good mocks from benjy and jay particularly.

Ok, heres my ideas, and my first mocks.

Arrow House Design
Arrow Eviction Night

Speaks for itself really - the reward room, sin bin, sauna and HoH rooms are all hidden. Reward Room works as BB4. Sauna is an extra reward to spice things up!

Finally, instead of a housemate getting a "telling off" they are called into the diary room and are told to enter the sin bin and complete a mini task. When the mini-task is complete they can return to the house via the living area. Simple!

What ya think?

Here is another house design I've been working on...

http://craigfryer87.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/bbhouse5.gif

On the corridor to the bathroom, there is a removable wall, which will give access to the Head of Household section of the house, which isn't introduced straight away as a sort of surprise.

The Reward Room door is also conceiled for the first week and uncovered in the second. This also applies to the Sauna Room in the garden, which is only introduced half-way through or when Big Brother sees that there is a relationship occurring - therefore increasing the ratings with some steamy action. Rolling Eyes

(The thicker black walls are present for sound proofing from either noise from the Diary Room or from the Garden and over the fence.)

Nice idea... might the camera run not be a bit hard to navigate through with it being so big and quite complex though?

Firstly, Salty. LIke the symmetry of your design and with a re-draft could work well, but currently I think the camera run design needs a bit of work as for instance, filming someone moving from the lounge to the bedroom would be quite complicated.

CraigF - brilliant designs as always. Have you got your plan handy of the current Big Brother house please (either from series 3 or 4), as it now looks likely that Big Brother is staying put, so maybe people could have a go at reworking the current house.

I find Paint the most quick and efficient to draw designs in, but with there being no anti-aliasing, most curves look crap...

Big Brother House Plan - Series 3

I think it would be a good idea to scrap most of the furniture on the series three map, because it is massively out of scale.

Does anyone know any good software which will let me do anti-aliased multilines? Ulead PhotoImpact doesn't do it, which is one I regularly use and I'm not sure about PaintShop Pro. Anything available on Kazaa will do! Wink

Thanks for those. The series 3 one pretty much gives a good idea of the main outline of the house and the space you have to work with.

They did that in series 1 which is where the eye originates from I believe.

Bit of useless knowledge, the eye they used in big brother 1 was Melanie's (the scary spice lookalike, went on to present Chained on E4 then not much more)

Well, here's my own (rather lame) BIG Bro 2005 mocks contribution. Note that I've decided
to use a different font for the logos and caption. The tagline for BIG Bro 2005, to reflect the
background on the logo and eviction captions would be - "BIG Brother - Feel The Heat".

Fireworks is good at that kind of thing, that's what I use.
