Can't believe this isn't top of the forum - does anyone realise that the new companion in Doctor Who 2017 is going to be revealed tonight during Half-Time at the FA Cup Semi Final on BBC1???

Hmm, hadn't thought of that. I suppose the timing lends some credence - couldn't technically announce her until she'd been seen to leave* Eastenders (though no doubt her leaving the Square has been all over the gossip and telly mags for weeks).

Unless, of course, they've sold us a dummy and it's actually going to be Himesh Patel (Tamwar)
