GMTV presenter Lorraine Kelly is to host a 12 week series on the BBC, for people who cannot sing. The Mirror claims it will go out against the X Factor on ITV.
I DON'T BELIEVE IT. Surely the Beeb will not put it head to head with Cowell and Co.

Glad to hear they have given Lorraine the job of host for this primetime show although she did slag the idea of this show off not too long ago in her The Sun column as "a trash idea for another talent contest".
We don't know what night Can't Sing Singers will air, Saturday night is a strong possibility but we'll have to wait and see as BBC One have got: I'd do Anything or Graham Nortons new show, Strictly Come Dancing, The National Lottery Winning Lines or Wright Around the world, Casualty, BBC News and Match of the Day all to fit in between 5.30pm and 11.55pm.

This surely shouldn't be a repeat of last summers clash between Fame Academy V Pop Idol, can it?

I simply cannot believe that they are still showing this sort of rubbish.

We can't even escape this trash when Pop Idol isn't on!

Now that Top Gear is off until the Autumn there is NOTHING on terrestrial television worth watching!

For Pete's sake, The X Factor is bad enough, but the Can't Sing Singers! Are they taking the p*ss, I can see how it can be funny for a one off but for 12 weeks it's a joke, it makes Fame Academy look respectable! Not what I would expect on BBC1!

I'm putting a £10 bet that Heggessey comissioned this joke.

lol @ ITV - they're really going for it now! We have new X Factor breakbumpers. So far I've seen one large X rotating into place, and then four smaller ones arranged like this: X X X X between each ad.

Just how much publicity is this programme going to get?

Is this 'fix' another calculated 'fix'?
