Yorkshire Look North (E.Yorks & Lincs)
Yeah, the majority seem to think it'll be this year, but as I mentioned before (and pretty much got shot down for saying) I think it won't completely go until the next corporate rebrand, which based on past form should be around 2020-2021. Not 2018! pad_ehh's reasoning is sound. They're taking it slow.

Scottish and Grampian muddled along with the same look different name gig for years after SMG took Grampian over. ITV1 Wales retained its own recorded continuity for a bit after ceasing to be HTV.

I still think the eventual gameplan is to rebrand to ITV, but there's no real need for urgency. It's ITV Northern Ireland in all but name - all the shows, the point to the website, the cross-promos for other channels. They could do it now or wait for an excuse - a rebrand, move to a new high-tech building (much smaller one in an industrial estate), that sort of thing.

ITV1 Wales retained its own announcers for four years after it became ITV1 Wales, and Wales branded idents remained for years after that too.

ITV do not promote UTV at all. When they show the STV logo on promos they don't also show the UTV logo any more. The dedicated pages for UTV programmes are hidden away on the ITV site and you need a direct web address to find them. That should tell you all you need to know about ITV and what they think of UTV. They are keeping it purely as a safety net for now, but they have no intention of keeping it long term.

I did think that initially, but that may be something of a red herring. They include STV's logo on things because they HAVE to. It is a part of their affiliate agreement. They don't have that agreement with UTV anymore, so there's no obligation to include it. I don't think we should take that as an indication of what's to come. ITV promote UTV on UTV. There's no real need to do anything further than that.

And UTV's web pages are a part of ITV.com because UTV is a now a channel owned by ITV (in the same way the pages for ITV2 or CITV are a part of ITV.com )

I'd argue that this branding is the strongest for the network since the multichannel era. I wouldn't be surprised to see this logo last longer than recent predecessors with tweaks to idents and surrounding presentation.
