Kanal 5 Sweden (broadcast from the UK) has several idents that are specifically design to easily include sponsor messages:

At this stage I think 3e could do with a refresh, their presentation is still much the same as it was when they rebranded in January 2009, and their idents in general really aren't up to much (although they were a million times better than the very basic idents Channel 6 used).

I wouldn't expect anything soon. I spotted another new ident yesterday, where the 'e' draws a letter 'e' kind of like one of the old BBC2 idents.

Also a bit like Dave where parts of the day are channel sponsored, with channel and channel sponsor idents - and then more sponsorships stings if a specific programme is sponsored.

e.g primetime Dave sponsored by Old Speckled Hen and then the programme sponsored by Fiat 500

I don't think I've ever seen double sponsorship like that on Dave, although UKTV is a slightly different case.

The reason they have generic terms for sponsorship like 'Motoring on Dave' or 'Primetime on Dave' is because they're not allowed to have direct sponsorship of a BBC programme. So they can have 'Argumental sponsored by' but not 'Top Gear sponsored by'

I sympathise with that depressed 3. Tragically encased in concrete and buried, unloved in a dark grey tomb with only an ADHD e for company...

erm, yeah... 3e idents: not that good, or something?

LOL. 3e's idents aren''t that good, they are literally a bouncing 3 and e doing various things on a black and grey background. Like I said the only good thing to be said for them was that they weren't the Channel 6 idents (which consisted simply of minimal animations of a "6" on a white background).

Another new ident today where the e is bouncing on a trampoline and gets stuck in the roof.

Correct, and I believe the sponsored idents were then followed by separate sponsorship stings for other companies if the programme itself was individually sponsored.

As I say I'm very surprised that's allowed

Seems you were right, it wasn't allowed: http://paidcontent.co.uk/article/419-nokia-lumias-tv-deal-broke-uk-advertising-rules/

No, it was just the breakflashes that they decided shouldn't be allowed as they were too short, not the idents.
