What on earth!

How can the tango ident be even slightly realistic. The place they are in has a roof.. so how can it be raining INDOORS!

Ok, look at the top of the pic you can see a rounded roof, fair enough, but it can't be raining as well. (image from thetvroom)

Its a fairly simple ident, but it looks so tacky and just well sucks.

It can be raining. The roof could be that of an arcade in the background coming off the main outside street where the dancers are in the rain!

Even though when the camear moves up and looked down you can see the rest of the street (inc the part that appears covered) is all wet looking, and the rain continues down the road.

Its a bit.. well.. dodgy.

It's just further evidence to contribute to what should be the immediate sacking of LH.

An absolute disgrace, BBC.

I'm happy to say I quite like it. The set looks fairly realistic (unlike bollywood), and is nicely lit.

But like everyone has said before... Nice bit of film, but it's no way to introduce a tv show.

So five more to go, perhaps, so what will they be?

Can can?
Morris Dancing?
Breakdancing and body popping?
Syncronised swimming?

Can't think of any others... And I'd like to hear the music they'd do for some of the above Smile

They blew the "roof repair" fund on a set of tacky idents.

well I've just turned round and seen it on TV and it is nicer second time round, viewing it as an "ident" and not as a piece of TV like I was last night.

Haka should be axed immediatly though as it is just dreadful.

Nice to see some new ones coming through though.

Yes I agree. This theme is going to get tired very quickly, so there will be a constant need for introduction of new idents. And soon Dances will run out! I think Tango is one of the best ones to be honest.

I saw this ident yesterday and it looks crap to be completely honest.

The political correctness of these idents is already starting to make the dancing theme go stale.

What are we going to see next and when are they going to run out of dances? Laughing

The globe was fine, it was truly inclusive. It's the total excluding of "Britishness" from the idents that I object to.[/quote]

I think the BBC have tried too hard to include the whole world in it's idents and there is nothing left to resemble Britain- The nation the channel is broadcasting to.

If the aim is to show different cultures from around the world why not make programmes about them

If I went to another country I wouldn't expect their idents to show Britain or any British cultures and traditions because they are broadcasting to wherever and if anything it should be that country represented.

I hope by this it doesn't appear that I'm against showing all these cultures on British TV because each ident is interesting to watch- It just doesn't represent BBC One

All this talk about it being spanish. It's supposed to be a french cafe terrace. I reckon it's been filmed in Leadenhall Market in the City of London as the roof design looks familiar. I might wander up tomorrow to have a look

It's indoors, and it looks like they are round the back of the Bollywood set! Rolling Eyes
