Sky Digital arrives at my house!

At 11:58 A.M. in Boston, Lincolnshire, Sky Digital's latest customers were installed. Yep folks, I now have Sky and it's BRILLIANT!

I've seen my first doses of BBC Parliament, the God Channel, Central News, Erm, News 24, UK Today, Radio 4 on the telly (weird!) Sky News, OMG, it's fantastic!

There's so much choice, I'm gonna have to watch myself! More news as it comes in!

No offence Katherine but does anyone really care whether you have Sky or not - the forum is to discuss tv presentation not who owns a tv!

Game Network (c223) - computer games channel, interesting cos it's part-Italian, the only multilingual channel in the Entertainment section
Auction World (c651) - it's a shopping channel but it's fun! I'm already hooked!
PLAYuk (c217) - my all-time favorite channel has top music vids daytime and wicked comedy from 8!
Cartoon Network (c601) well my brother watches it all the time so there must be something good about it...
Music Choice (c480) - top tunes from a raft of styles without interruption! Quality!
Oh, and check out PlayJam on the interactive menu for top quality gameness!

I live in an obscure area which can't yet get ITV Digital, can't get cable because there are no lines installed, and can't get Sky because of all the trees, we can get Channel 5, so we've got four channels and a video.

Am I gutted?

No! There's more to life than watching a box!

We've got cable and do I care that we have it that much? No! I dont need to shout to the world. Its just a few extra channels (and a few extra pounds) over terrestrial and I dont need to shout about it.

Katherine, Hows Boston's new Cinema coming on? Have you had a look through the peep-holes?

Come on! this has been an on-going thing with Katherine trying to get her parents to get Sky etc etc so I think this post is fair enough!

I tried to bug my mum to get SKY but after discovering having a dish bolted to the house is one of her pet hates I bugged her for cable instead. She finally gave in in 1999 when Diamond Cable (as they were then) shoved a promotional leaflet through the door showing how good value they were.

I'm not meaning to be rude but there's no need to brag that you have got Sky Digital.

Big wow I've had digital for over a year now and so have 8 Million other people (Sky, ITV/ON, NTL & Telewest)

So it's nothing new please don't brag about it as it's annoying.

Slightly related-
I got sky installed last saturday and now if the sky box is on, the phone has a continual buzz but it doesn't buzz in standby, does anyone know why??
