Shillingbury Tales

Does anyone remember Shillingbury Tales shown on ITV in 1981, repeated in about 1983/4? I've most of one episode o video, does anyone else have any on video? I particulalry want to see the one about the church organ and ghostly goings on....

Yes, I remember Shillingbury Tales, only just. It starred Diane Keen after the Cookoo Waltz (remember that?) finished and also starred the late Robin Nedwell. Television presentation wise, I remember that when it was repeated in 1983/4, there was a 'Central Presents' caption. Was it made by ITC rather than ATV?

it was a spin-off from a TV Movie called 'The Shillingbury Blowers' about a village brass band. Both were filmed on location in the Hertfordshire village of Aldbury.

You are right, I only had the end cap on video from 83/4 with "Central Presentation" on it. And it was made by ITC. I guess it would originally have had the ATV caps on it?

Was it not John Alderton in the original film and Robin Nedwell taking the lead in the series. This was a good gentle funny series.
