I see they're still using the "live" dog on the screen. I'm sure most are intelligent enough to know it's live. If they wanted to emphasise that the programme was live, why not change its name to SNT Live?

I'm enjoying the new series, never really gets tired. The end of the series should be a blast as well.

The unnecessary use of the filmic effect on the opening skit where they got stuck in the dressing room was somewhat incongruous.

...and some poor sod has to keep fading it in and out as they switch to filmed inserts / action replays etc (despite being present on ITV+1 and ITV Hub, where it's not live).

Also there's an "itv" logo in the opening titles. What's that all about?

2013 ITV Rebrand, originally a lot of the ITV programmes had the logo within the titles (quietly dropped a few months later) but it's remained on SNT.

Surely it's there to indicate those parts of the opening segment aren't actually live?

I don't think the majority of the audience notices the implications of the filmic effect. But switching between that and the live shots in the studio was just annoying. Could've easily shot that in 50i to give the illusion that was really happening backstage.

Last year, for the start of the show, they not entirely live (because the wedding celebration) and they have a dog screen "almost-live".

It may have been because I was on +1 but were the audio levels really badly mixed on the Crown Jewels sketch. BTW I think the thief is Prince Harry.

The audio was terrible during the bell ringing finale. Half of the bells didn't make a sound.

As seen from this clip of Gay & Alan from BGT (I couldn't think of any other examples)

the table has microphones on the front of it for the bells, something that couldn't occur with a dance routine, running around with them and a table coming in at a later stage.

I thought the programme was very good last night and it helped by having a comedian (or comedy character) in Mrs Brown to throw them off the mark a little, they had more fun and came across as a more fun programme because of it imo.

The people finding its use annoying will probably significantly overlap with those who know what It's used for.

Really enjoying tonight's fast pace.... nothing feels dragged out and they're getting through a lot of content as quickly as possible, and it seems extra funny for this?

Maybe they should do hour long shows more often?!
