It's even more annoying live than when it isn't. Appart from that, IMO, being live has added nothing to the show.

Just how exciting can you make, what is essentially, someone tossing a coin ?

I hear this argument a lot, about it being a game of chance picking random boxes etc and of course it is. But it's also all about making tough decisions, getting to know characters and watching their lives possibly change. There is also quite a lot of laughs and it's a bit of fun essentially.

Except it's nothing like tossing a coin

Well, I watched an entire programme once, on a miserable wet afternoon whilst on holiday in 2006 I think. It's a series of yes or no choices, dragged out over 45 mins. Entertaining enough once I suppose, and it passed 45 mins, but nothing I saw compelled me to ever watch it again, and I haven't.

It's a series of choices, but only some of which are yes and no.

Some are Deal or no Deal.

I saw the Australian version while I was out there last year and I preferred their version. It's done in half an hour and there's no sob stories or no tense moments. It's very fast paced.

The original Dutch version, upon which the UK version is based, only lasted 30 minutes and was much more easier to watch.

Today's show featured Tom and Dougie from McFly. Tom was a box opener and revealed the £250,000 and Dougie sat with the Pilgrims and was sent outside for a short period early on.

They were invited by the Banker apparently. Noel has previously spoke out against celebrity specials.

The format was originally an end game for 75 minute show. It wasn't till much later (after DOND went to the UK) that a daytime DOND very much based round the French/UK versions appeared in Holland.

I think I'm right in saying that.

Channel 4 News got beaten to this breaking story on Friday by the Banker who had already announced it at least ten minutes before this caption appeared.

What are they doing watching another channel in the gallery when they're meant to be producing a live TV game show? Laughing
