News 24 Christmas/New Year schedule

Do I take it the cut-down schedule (1 presenter, bulletins on the hour, review of the year programmes on the half-hour) starts from Mon 24 Dec and continues until Tuesday 1 January, and everything is back to normal from Wednesday 2nd?

Also, for those of you who work there (a) happy christmas (b) there's a trail for Radio 2 which goes out at regular intervals (and just went out at 1529 today) but which cuts off half-a-second before the end every time its played. Any chance of fixing it?

Not exactly - AFAIK, at the moment, Tuesday 25th and Wednesaday 26th are single presenter days, the rest (Monday 24th, Thursday 27th etc) are 2 presenters.

As far a I know there are far fewer built programmes this year, so expect a near normal service for most of the week, two presenters etc. The only exceptions are Christmas Day and Boxing Day when it is taped programmes throughout the day

I suppose a pretty much normal service with important regular presenters like Gavin Esler, Bill Turnbull, Valerie Sanderson and Jane Hill is pretty much to be expected with all that is going on at the moment in Afghanistan etc....
