New UTV Idents

UTV have also shown their first new ident since the relaunch today. It features the Giant's Ring in Belfast:

It's quite strange that UTV have gone to the trouble of making a new ident to show it only once! The new ident (above) hasn't been seen on screen since its debut on Sunday. Any ideas why this could be? Planned to air it on a certain date and played it out by accident perhaps?

Another new ident aired this evening before UTV Live at 5:30pm. This one features Belfast Lough and brings the current total up to 8 idents (7 scenery & 1 generic):

The UTV idents are allocated completely randomly so it's entirely possible for one to go out and then not be seen for a few days.

On the river Lagan one if we zoom in do we see any skateboarders?

I notice the newly added UTV idents have a Belfast/East of the Bann bias.

What about some idents shot in Derry (city or county)? Or updating the idents that were shot down in Enniskillen or Fermanagh? I have never seen a UTV scenery ident filmed in Co. Tyrone come to think of it.

Oh well, at least they've dropped the Lurgan Park idents.
