Probably the best thing that has been created out of BBC Three- the award-winning dark animation series returns for a brand new run, and this time it's got a decent timeslot.

For those who have never seen it before it's seriously dark and warped, but deliciously funny.

You can see the media review trailer for the new series here
PLEASE NOTE: The BBC state this is suitable for over 18s only, please view at your discretion.

And a "24" themed clip here. This is taken from episode 1 (it's a sanitised clip for BBCi- the real funny bit will be just as the clip cuts out, and that's probably not reproducible on this forum)

Well worth watching for those who are not easily offended (or those who are and need material to complain about BBC with)

I absolutely love this programme, it's brilliantly clever and so close to the truth. I urge you to watch it (despite the fact I won't be able to, bugger quite simply) - if you don't like it, you don't like it. But it's great stuff.

Yes, this is a fantastic programme!!! i only saw it when it was repeated on BBC2 at 11.20pm, but recently ive been staying up on a saturday night to watch it on three. sheer genius!!
made by Talkback as well ( they seem to be making loads of stuff now dont they!?)

Yep, talkback are doing a lot (I didn't actually realise they were the Monkey dust production company but there you go)...I think they really got fame with Da Ali G Show and Smack the Pony, which shows they don't shy away from sensitive subjects...by the way Monkey Dust has no likeness to either of those two programmes.

Anyway, the first episode of the new series airs in just over an hour.
As an aside, does anyone know why it's called Monkey Dust?

My favourite sketch of tonights show has to be the Americanised Crusades Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

It was simply stunning- brilliantly written and even better than the first series. I thought the paedophile "catcher" with the total piss-take of The Sun was the best scene (with links to the Matthew Kelly affair). Topical satire, brilliantly done.

The the powers invested in me by News International I proclaim that show fab.

Can you NOT post how good the show was, because I'm insanely jealous of those who were able to watch it at the moment.

Yup I liked the Paedocatcher character too - esp. when he says "By the power invested in me by News International" and is holding up The Sun. Wonder who that might be!

And Jeff (although revoiced and animated it seemed) as a good return. Liked the bit when he said "This isn't BBC Four" or words to that effect.

And who would have thought Clive could have done something even more disgusting? (Nice animation on the dog too).

I personally think it's got darker - didn't realise it'd be possible!

Loving the new timeslot!

After a quick google search, it seems it is infact another name for PCP

Very, very good.

And yes, much darker. Especially the paedophile bits... and there were more parts of it that seemed like one-offs (like the perfect Americanised Crusades mentioned earlier - the caption at the end, "Dedicated to all the Americans Who Died In The Early Middle Ages") rather than the continuing characters we had in the last series, only a couple of which now remain.
