The Anglia website has what I think will be the new graphics for the Granada stations weather from January 1st.

The weather is supplied by the Met Office and the graphics look very similar to the national reports although not identical.

Meridian also has supplied by the Met Office but no graphics !.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year

Very odd.

Because what from I recall Granada only changed in October to the new Granada News graphics and to the United Utilities sponsors. You never know it might only apply to Anglia or a couple of other GMG regions.

I thought that these were the new graphics for the regions:

Didn't Stephen Lee post a while back about Anglia moving to Met Office sourced graphics/data rather than the current stuff, which is from WSI?

Who currently provides the Granada, Yorkshire and Tyne Tees weather data - the Met or WSI?

It may be GMG moving to a common provider across all GMG stations?

I think the YTV Weather is done by The Met Office.

Curiously, They didn't use any special Xmas Symbols on the YTV Weather this year

It is true that Granada only recently changed their weather to the same graphics as Granada Reports, but that means nothing really, it won't have taken them long to knock that up because it's pretty much identical to Tyne Tees and Yorkshire weather. No new symbols were needed, they just had to design a different background, change the font and move the map. Come on Granada, you know how much you want to give us an in-vision presenter! Just imagine the viewing figures if they give us Jo Blythe!!! http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/cheesy.gif
