Ive just seen ex HTV News presenter Rob Smith on the ITV Lunchtime news and wonder whether most local ITV News presenters end up at ITV News?

Also does the reverse happen - ITV News readers end up at a regional ITV Newsroom?

The only other one i can think of is Richard Bath going from ITN to Westcountry news?

Bit of a backward step then.... Very Happy

Fiona has actually done the "double" - she started off on Border, then moved to ITN, before going back to Border again.

Is Fiona Armstrong on Border now????

And are you sure Rob Smith used to PRESENT HTV News?? If so, which area???

Also, the Border website comes up with a 403 error - Forbidden??

Yep!

And good news for those of you who get Border on Sky... she's on Lookaround tonight. Wink

eric mc innes moved from ITN to central, back in autumn 2001 - and a very good addition to the team he is too!

ben mcarthy started off at bbc midlands - found fame in london (reporting for bbc news) then returned home to present inside out midlands.

other than that there is nina nanar (or "nina nar...nar" as david davies used to call her) who moved from midlands today (presenter of artfile -> entertainment corespondent) to ITN. ashley blake replaced her - then he was snapped up by watchdog.

Or as BBC WM's Shane O'Connor jokingly 'sang' at one of BBC West Midlands roadshows from the Sandwell Show, a few years back, 'Nina Na Na, Nina Na Na', to the Bananarama song, 'Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye'!

To be honest, I've seen the most local ITV news readers pop up on Sky News, there are a couple from on own region Anglia who appear quite regulary, a chap called Nick and Karine, who is on tonight.... plus Greg Milam, who used to be an Anglia TV reporter as well.

I last saw Sasha Herriman presenting the overnights on the ITV NC and the ITV Morning News in November, this morning she was presenting the breakfast bulletins on Spotlight.
