I will give this a go, I quite like Rylan, as long as he doesn't over do it. He can be a good presenter.
Not sure 4 nights a week will be a good idea, might be a bit overkill. 1 or 2 nights a week would work wouldn't it?

I'm sure there's enough guests from the Viacom stable to pad his show out. If the Geordie Shore lot aren't regulars, I'll eat my hat.

I won't be surprised if Eamonn and Ruth are on too.

I don't know what the internal politics of Viacom are like, but I wonder if we're likely to see many Paramount film stars appear on Up Late, much like Universal stars appear on NBC in the US.

Given the relationship is tenuous I would say as likely as on any other talk show

Didn't Channel 5 give Joan Rivers her own late night show too at one point?

That was FOX in the US, got cancelled within 18 months, replaced by guest hosts including Arsenio Hall and Howard Stern

Back in 1986 aswell, mind you the BBC give her one aswell for six weeks. Of course there was alot of double dealing with the late night chats shows. rivers was a stand in for carson, but carson felt betrayed when river took Fox's offer

They did, The Joan Rivers Position. To me, notorious for the most embarrassing and cringeworthy TV interview of all time (at least as far as I'm concerned) with Brigitte Nielsen.

Well the only thing on is really Family Guy repeats at that time, So could do well and could not. Mainly 18-34 viewers around at that time.

Let's see what happens. I've always felt the UK is missing a late night talk show based on the American model.
