I think the new trailer style is a huge improvement. I understood the desire to make the new ITV brand prominent at first, but the programme name, date and time needed to be bigger.

It's all very well looking at screenshots on this forum and picking them apart, but when viewed on TV, YouTube or The ITV Hub) - ie how normal people view them - this new style does the job far better.

Each has their own opinion, but I feel the new promo style is a step backwards.

It's worth noting that the style is also used for thumbnails on ITV2's YouTube channel, so perhaps it will be rolled out elsewhere soon.

I agree, the promo tune in information definitely stands out more compared to the previous version. It's like it's optimised for digital.

Yes, it looks like it was designed for a 5" screen and with little consideration for 50" screens.

What makes it most jarring for me is that they've used colour to separate the pieces of information. Not only does this make for some very hard to read peach coloured text on a white background, but it looks too heavy a font weight. Having the lines of text in varying (thinner) weights would improve it a lot in my eyes.

I always liked the way the ITV channels presentation flowed from one element to another, and it is a shame that aspect hasn't been brought forward so far.

But, the old presentation had font sizes that were too small, and didn't really grab attention. This does however seem like an over-reaction in the size of the text, but it does grab attention.

I have only seen footage on here, as I don't watch ITV channels.

Oddly, even though the GMB titles played in with the new plain white background to the ITV logo yesterday morning, it was back to the old style this morning. Whoops.

Perhaps they decided the old ones are better

ITV Wales used the old style in the last ad break.

Sounds like some of the old ones are still being scheduled/needs to be made unavailable.

ITV looks garish, UTV can colour co-ordinate with the programme!

They could have mixed the colours in a different way to make the gold the colour of the 'i' and therefore the day and time colour on the itv image.

Never would I thought that I would ever say that UTV's style looks much better there than ITV's....
