BREAKING NEWS:- The Nightly Show is cancelled in favour of an extended ITV News at Ten, with highlights and analysis of the terrorist attack in London.

This has already been posted further up, and there's no need to be so dramatic about it.

Will Dermot still get 5 episodes? I imagine the guests would already be booked.

Guests are likely to have been booked for specific days in many cases, and Dermot will be paid regardless, so I suspect tonight's show will just be considered written off.

Guests will be apologised to and I'd expect will understand reasons, Dermot will no doubt be paid as if the show went ahead (just as crew, facilities providers etc. will be)

No, but we will see if all those many millions who were apparently so outraged over the moving of News at Ten actually tune in tonight.

I'd imagine the central location of the theatre would make it impractical to record with a live audience at 6pm today anyway.

I work close to that theatre and it was business as usual in the local area. No transport delays or anything.

Yes, outside of the Westminster area London by and large operated as normal yesterday

Yes, this was extremely an isolated incident geographically, London is a big place. This wasn't as big or disruptive as something like 7/7 which did affect TV programmes being recorded that night as it shut down almost all the transport links

I didn't say anything about transport - there are other factors that could make things difficult such as whether the audience would feel comfortable attending or put off from leaving where they lived just in case there had been problems.

We know it was isolated now, but many audience members would have been getting ready a few hours before 6pm, when it was still unclear what was going on.

Will this return tonight, if not will it be axed for good?

EPG is currently showing the Nightly Show at 10pm, so, it's returning.
