Good morning Alba?

That could be referred to BBC Alba though...

I know, but people probably won't care - the BBC will not care about the use of Alba at all compared to Good Morning Scotland.

No - I would hope that stv will present the opt in English.....Alba is not English.

I think either Good Morning from STV News or Good Morning from STV for Scotland or they might not bother and just call it STV News.

Looks like the regional opts will be Good Morning xxxx (name of region) if this tweet from Central is anything to go by

Wonder how that will work in Scotland - we get split news for North and Central Scotland (North is recorded from Glasgow)....Good Morning North/ Central Scotland?? I would doubt it will be Good Morning Scotland.....thats a radio programme on radio Scotland.

Good Morning STV?

Yep Gary - I guessing that would be most logical? Good Morning Scotland would ruffle a few BBC feathers ehh??

Same with Good Morning Wales.

As for the summer and competing with the BBC - I can't see the BBC doing a World Cup Breakfast so maybe "Good Morning Brazil" from ITV wouldn't be a bad idea considering they have the rights (they've already said Sean will be over there).

Of course though they could go the opposite route and if Breakfast is heavily sport focused for the World Cup and Commonwealth Games then GMB can continue with the norm to offer a true alternative.
Shouldn't that have been posted in the "John Logie Baird has Invented Television" thread?

That would alienate too many of the core audience. It would also need to be called Good Morning from Brazil, as it wouldn't be broadcasting to Brazil.
