Part of this was in the correct date thread, but I kinda what to branch out further about the old look of GMTV
There does seem to be a lack of clips covering GMTV over this period, but the celb interviews do help fill some of the gaps.

Firstly there was three looks over the 90s: , I just need to double check certain points: I pretty sure I'm in the right area for most of the looks? Are the dates wrong just say.

You can see very clearly what the studio look like once it was revamped in 1993 here:

to co-inside with Anthea Turner joining the main team, the sofas were updated during this time? as said else where the opening titles from this era now where to be seen, unless there will hidden?

This was August OR September 1996
this look appeared? It was on ly the titles and logo that changed.

It seems the news wasn't changed at that stage instead keeping the older look

before changing to this.

This was New years day 2000 for the millennium?

September 2001
Also what was the deal with the EARLY September 2001 rebrand, ie the one with the strange music? which was change back pretty quickly. There used to be clips of this but there have also disappeared.

The first GMTV opener is on YouTube and they started at a table with a TV-AM type picture on the back wall:

The later "meet the gang" segment(s) and original sofa, complete with fairly horrible looking graphics:

There is two other videos from this era:

Feb

It was revamped from 19th April 1993 to look more like TVAM.

Here is a better version of 1st opening.

What I find interesting is the music change. Now, c.2000 the main motif changed from F-G-A-C to G-A-B-C - compare 1:24 in the video below to 1:45. I think that this change happened in the 2000 relaunch? But then go to 4:33. This is blatantly a later era, given the clock design. But these Christmas stings use the old motif. It just strikes me as odd that the sonic logo had changed and that this hadn't been reflected in the Christmas music many many years down the line.

GMTV Start Up Christmas Eve 1996 (With Penny Smith & Matt Lorenzo)

GMTV Ulster TV Opt Outs for Local News 1993
(As someone who grew up in 1990s in Northern Ireland it is rare seeing UTV on GMTV as they were not best pleased when UTV opted out to have their own programme sometime in 1994)

Oh yes, the Christmas music was never changed - I'd forgotten about that! It was always a bit of a oddity that they never updated it.

Sunday best titles had the alarm clock at 07.20 because that was its original start time before it got moved back to 06.30 within 3 months,

Ah right!

The strange thing with GMTV is it changed the titles at different times to the news and graphics. it did this in 96/97 and 01/02/03.

I loved these titles. When I think about GMTV, I think of this era.

It's a very subtle change though.
