Nevertheless, 60 years mean a bigger celebration.

But it hasn't been 60 years. It's been 59.

I think it makes more sense to have a mass celebration of the 60th contest than the 60th Anniversary.

Presuming you mean competition, I'm fine with that as long as they celebrate the 60th competition and don't call it the 60th anniversary, because it isn't.

Well I meant contest. I read it back and edited it just as you posted.

I think officially it's likely to be called the 60th edition/contest. But the press will dub it the 60th Anniversary.

Austrian media are reporting that in addition to Vienna there has already been offers from Graz and Klagenfurt to host next year's contest.

The wonderfully named Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna seems the logical choice already.

Their website already shows a small number of events in May 2015.

Considering they held the 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2005, your wish probably won't come true.

EDIT: The contest was formed in October 1955, which set the date for the first contest in 1956. The 50th Anniversary celebrations were held in October 2005, so I think they have a point in saying it was the 50th Anniversary.

A couple of sources (Austrian Media websites are atrocious to navigate though) seem to indicate an 'in principle' deal is already in place for Stadthalle 'D' with it's central Vienna location to host. Klagenfurt is beautiful in the summer but when I last visited was very short of hotel space in the volume needed, which seems to preclude. Graz I've never visited but seems a little Dusseldorf ish in choice.
