The broadcasters voted against having a compulsory NF rule just before the contest this year so internal selections will continue.

Any reason why the full break down of jury/viewer votes haven't been released this year. I can't see there being anything controversial about them - I'm sure Loreen would have come out top and the Hump near the bottom in the viewers vote.

They'll come out eventually. They usually wait a few weeks after although I think this year the gap between the contest and the results has been longer than usual.

Perhaps the EBU are investigating the rumours of the alleged Azeri vote fixing in Malta and Cyprus.

This no publicity idea is a non starter the whole contest is an international event. Some countries having international representation at their national selections. It would be impossible to police anyway.

As for Steps .... Ridiculous.

For a singer for the UK, I'd look at all the leads performing in the West End over the coming sux months and select from them, at least they are used to singing on stage in front of an audience time after time.

The song... put that out to the public on the internet. to compose for either a male or female soloist.

Staging ... get any of the dancers on the London Stage to do that, we don't need Arlene or similar to do that.

Surely you like a bit of One for Sorrow? Stomp? Tragedy?

I joke Smile

I don't think Steps is that bad an idea. Scooch were similar, yes, but they had nowhere near the level of brand awareness.

Can't believe France came last on the televote. Thought that was a brilliant song, and I rather enjoyed the staging of it.

We came last in the jury vote - another surprise. I thought it would be that which bumped us up a little.

Sweden a comfortable win, however, so all is well.

Arlene *is* a West End choreographer. You're not suggesting the dancers make up the moves themselves?

Yes ... it is precisely what I am suggesting, there are enough of them leading classes at Pineapple and other studios at present.

Dancers dance, choreographers choreograph. I don't see the logic of (or imperative for) your suggestion.

Are you doing the budget or something?
