How can BBC Sport go from the ugly mess of Final Score to the gorgeous graphics of the Euro 2016 draws. Studio much better lit too.

England and Wales drawn in same group so guess that will be the first pick and should ensure separate presentation for Wales.

Edit: Unless the schedule is revised it is a 2pm kick off on a Thursday afternoon, so maybe not the first pick.

RTE seems to be taking a full screen clean feed of the draw for some reason.

Edit: it's not clean, just slightly behind. Presuming then it is the BBC that is adding the sidebar and bottom bar.

One further issue will be the simultaneous kick-offs of the last games. No doubt about it the England game will be shown on the primary channel in England, and almost certainly Scotland and NI too, while the Wales game will take priority in Wales. If it's a BBC fixture the other will probably be on BBC2, so not much of an issue, but trickier for ITV4 who'll probably air the Wales match throughout, meaning no England coverage on ITV in Wales. Of course though the new format does make the group games pretty meaningless where as in previous tournaments it felt like everyone really did count.

Really hope to the BBC and ITV work something out with S4C for coverage of the Wales games. Is S4C retaining coverage of ITV's Six Nations Wales games?

Prediction: ITV's first picks to include England v Russia and England v Wales, as even though it's 2pm they're not going to turn down 10m+ advertiser friendly viewers in daytime. BBC will get the final group games and probably Wales v Slovakia too, but their first picks will be the first pick game in the Round of 16 and possibly the Quarters too, though if ITV have overall first pick they might grab that for themselves.

Lot of sicknotes coming out that day then!

That all said, England will have to seriously screw up not to make it out the group.

See above. I guess the BBC either went straight for a quarter final as their second pick or one of the other Home Nation games. Both sides will be quite happy though - ITV got a guaranteed two, and almost certainly three, England games, while the BBC have got the game of most interest to the Home Nations, Wales debut game and the better of the NI games too. Would be interesting to know 2nd and 3rd picks for round 2.
