TLS have always considered themselves to be the M&S of studio facilities, neither Harrods or Lidl. Value for money.


Depends whether you think M&S are value for money I guess. TLS don't have a great reputation for being price-competitive, though they do have a good reputation in other regards.

I'd say M&S are value for money in terms of paying a bit more, but not excessively so, for good quality - I think that's the point being made.

I know what the point was - it's just not all of the industry think that the extra cost actually delivers much in quality terms (though their green rooms are quite nice).

In the 80s they managed to consistently generate some of the worst pictures and sound on the ITV network. (Even now, hearing the word Hitachi makes me shudder...)
