Although it was referred to as CITV on air from 1993 the "Children's" wasn't removed from the logo until September 1996.

Although didn't it mix with the Stonewall-era logo? I'm sure I remember seeing the ChIlDrEnS ITV logo in 1990 as well

And I really enjoyed last Friday's celebrations, brought back a lot of memories and was more sensitive to archive broadcasting than the BBC - imagine what they'll do to their 20th anniversary of CBBC in 2005!

I have a feeling that "Children's" was written in Comic Sans at 3:30 for younger children's programmes (a bit like the Tellytots strand).

Actually they've now got a past presenters section on their website, something I never thought they'd do, so maybe they will do something. They got all the old presenters back in 1995...

The generic CITV ident was still being used before MotorMouth in April 1992, I think network centre wanted them to use it but Central on weekdays had other ideas!

Yes, where will be Philips Shcofield's head? Oh wait, it's been cropped off! It showed us the main advantage of CITV pres remaing 4:3- no cropping. Obvously, seeing CBBC's current attitude towards their 4:3 programming, I doubt we can expect the same fromt hem.

It was, a bit of dual branding here, "Childrens" and "CITV"

It's changed!

It looks ok, but not excelent. Also, there's a very annoying flash video at the top. First, it has Micheal welcoming you to the new website, then some Promos, and I can't work out how to turn it off. Very annoying!

Bloody....... I forgot I had the site open and I just descovered that the video loops. I just had Mike welcoming me to the site again. It scared me like hell.
