Just after 7:30am this morning on Channel 4 I noticed an advert for Big Brother 3, it gave a phone number if you wanted to take part, and the website address (channel4.com/bigbrother).

So does anyone here know anyone that will be auditioning for Big Brother 3? And what are your views on Big Brother returning for a third time? Is a third series a good idea or not?

I had not seen any adverts for this up until this morning, I take it this is the first advertisement for BB...?

I saw one a couple of weeks back.

I quite like Big Brother (but steer away from any of the tabloid coverage). The problem I had with series 2 was that the main live C4 programmes seemed far less polished than the first year's (with the exception of the new titles, which were fantastic).

BB2 was by far the most brilliant and captivating telly I watched in 2001!

I know, I don't think I've ever stayed inside all summer, watching E4 for a countless number of hours.

I quite liked the idea behind Big Brother - The Battle -- the Netherlands' third Big Brother series.

Essentially, the house is divided right down the middle with iron bars -- one side being the rich side where everyone can have whatever they want, and the other side being the poor side where the people live almost as if they were out on the streets.

Once a week, one member from each side competes for the right for their own team to be in the rich side. (As well as the usual nominations to eject a member.)

RtH may be able to clarify this as I only caught one or two shows.

Big Brother was great! E4 did spoil its coverage though with those bleeding train noises covering the swearing!

Didn't E4 get some really high ratings with BB2?
