It's something I've only watched a few times. It would appear the programme was properly retired, they've not been able to bring back the texting, yet weirdly they've left the purple bar where they'd be displayed.

Semi-related - does anybody know how ITV Nightscreen is generated? I had always imagined it to be a single feed which could be cut to, but recently I've noticed that STV and ITV were showing different pages and music at the same time - does each channel/region have a separate feed?

In the past each region had a seperate feed with different music as it was a sneaky way of counting towards a regional quota, not sure if that's still the case.

Looks like a new channel is moving in to the former price-drop TV studio:

Looks like they don't have much of a budget:

Do my eyes decieve me - or is that former QVC presenter Julian Ballantyne alongside Debbie Greenwood? Who knows, Paul Lavers might be along too. Wink

That is indeed Paul Lavers, Julian Ballantyne and Debbie Greenwood who will be hosting the channel!

I'm surprised that Paul Lavers hasn't turned up on one of the Local TV stations yet.

He was one of the launch presenters on (Cambridge) RedTV back in 1996/97 alongside another QVC presenter, a certain Rob Locke.

I know, that's why I'm surprised he hasn't turned up on one of the current crop of local stations. Even Big Centre has slightly better production values than Friendly TV, after all Smile.

(Plus as an ex ITV regional continuity announcer he'd fit in well there!)

I am under the impression that The Craft Channel's studio is sublet to them by Lean Forward. Some people have suggested that Win Cash Live coming off air is in some way connected to The Craft Channel coming on air.

What I'm wondering is if the posited interactive TV chat format will appear now Win Cash Live on TV has gone down the drain.

Remember that Lean Forward now have 2 vacant studios, the massive former [Shop at ]Bid[[-up].tv] one which Win Cash Live only actually used a corner of (we rarely saw the main part or the kitchen) and the small former Speed Auction/Bid Plus studio, which I'm not sure has actually been seen on screen since the collapse of Sit-up.

Highly doubt that's the case; you only need to look at the participation numbers (which you can make an educated guess at by looking at the number of winners vs. the odds of payout - 80% in most of their games). They weren't even covering the expense of a single presenter - it was pure loss - and after several months too.

When they convert to "web only" presenter streaming - it's a clear way to drastically reduce costs. It wouldn't surprise me if they lost the majority (or all of) the <Z list presenters, and ended up with a couple of completely "unknowns" -- anyone recall the travesty that was QuizChannel.com?

They seemed to have had all of those bases covered (much more so than the Roulette broadcasters). Given the tweet Mark Ryes made (and the follow-up stating it will "shape the months to come"); this seems permanent, sadly. Probably driven by the fact that participation was excruciatingly low, even after several months on air.
Which doesn't surprise me. I caught it on Estuary a couple of weeks ago - quickly changed the channel!
