Ever heard of either James Spiring or Digifiend?

I am sure I have seen them somewhere, but I am unaware if they have caused any trouble, etc.

Obviously, they have, so I don't know why you are linking them with me.

freeview never "launched," freeview is a name applied to DTT by the BBC. the bbc acquired an extra mux as did crown castle, but bbci 701 and 702 were up and running before the ex-on digital muxs were divi-ed out.

Freeview is actually the name applied to Mux C and D only.

Mux 1, 2, A and B are therefore not a part of Freeview, but are advertised as being a part of it to save more public confusion on the subject of DTT...

Thanks Sparkiestu for bringing this thread back into line.

tvmercia, shame on you. I expect better behaviour from you. You used to be level-headed but recently have been just as needlessly rude and overly pedantic as James Spiring/Digifiend used to be.

Digiperson - the reason Digifiend is so hated is because he used to trawl through everybody's websites saying things like "this link's broken" or "that link's broken" or "I see you've got two header images in x directory, why are you wasting space?" or "you haven't updated your site in 3 days. Why?"

He doesn't do that anymore. If anything, it's the people who routinely complain about him (tvmercia, Hymagumba, etc.) who act more childish these days. I wouldn't worry about them, Digiperson. It's a shame these people are showing themselves to be cases of "what you say is what you are".

It was a completely valid question and point to survey the changes to text/interactive services available on DTT (the platform), DVB-T (the standard), Freeview (the publicity campaign) or whatever you want to call it changed from being a part pay/free-TV service.

It's a shame nobody gave you the space to make your point before jumping on your case, because it was clear the point you were trying to make. And they all knew what point you were trying to make. They're just pretending not to, so they can boost their egos by trying to make you look stupid.

Give back as good as you get and don't give a stuff about it. I don't. There are far too many t0ssers on here I'm afraid.

But there's no way they're hampering me off THIS forum. Make good points that are on topic and ignore anybody who goes off-topic, and there's no reason why you should get banned.

One further point - he got banned from another discussion forum for spamming it to within an inch of its life and was banned. He then re-registered under a different username to get back on the forum. Unfortunately he was re-discovered and subsequently re-banned.

Anyway, I digress... resume normal service everyone....

Well, thanks you three.

So, anyone got any more ideas of what was interactive on bbci via Freeview?

Can anyone confirm whether The Day Britain Stopped was interactive or not?

Cheers,

digiperson
