Confirmation today that all but one red button stream will close on the 15th October, along with the DSat7 transponder.

A new DSat8 HD transponder will also launch soon for BBC One HD streams for the nations.

The one good thing hidden in the announcements was that BBC 2 HD (and the closure of BBC HD) has effectively been delayed to 2013.

All we know is that it won't be happening in the next three months then.

The inference was that it wasn't a priority job, I'd think BBC HD was fairly safe till the spring, at the earliest.

YUSS!

Was BBC2 HD ever announced as happening this year?

After the Olympics I think was touted, which is nice and vague.
