Because SPOTY over-ran, which it always does, BBC One was running late this evening.

Fools. How could they schedule a tweet for a show like The Apprentice Final. You HAVE to have someone manually sending something like that. Even if it doesn't follow a live show (and everyone knows Sports Personality of the Year can overrun...) the news can be extended etc.

I'm glad that (for once) I decided not to frequent Twitter at all during the final.

SPOTY always overruns and I suspect it was quite deliberate to ensure a huge peak audience as they announce the winner.
