Giggles galore at the end of Calendar tonight when John Shires closing line mentioning Mark Nightingale and Mark Austin. Que Gaynor giggling... Then John says well it's with someone! Love John's who cares style!
Spotted former Calendar newsreader Nicola Sands/Crompton on BBC Breakfast this morning on a VT from a Conservative club as part of who they want as leader.

Tonight's Look North from Leeds.had a tweaked set due to it being a special programme. The sofa was moved in front of the main screen allowing a different backdrop to be displayed, a nice touch and looks better than the normal set in my opinion. It did however mean that the weather had to be done from the CEO set, and with neither Nicola or Phil being able to pronounce Owain's name, who was on a rare 6:30pm appearance.

When Clare Frisby hosted Breakfast, she was on practically all the time, hardly ever not there.
Since Hull took over its like a revolving door of presenters, someone different every few days, we've seen about 6 different people. How are Leeds viewers supposed to get to know these faces when they are constantly changing and when we don't see them as any other part of the output.

The Hull breakie bulletins have always been that way.
We have interchangeable faces on BBC London's breakfast bulletins daily. Unless there's an affinity to having a regular presenter in that slot, is it a big deal?

Well that's exactly it.
We've been here before, a revolving door of presenters and weather presenters might be acceptable in London, but up North viewers expect to see a regular face who they've seen on screen for many years.
This is actually worse as I presume the interchangeable faces on BBC London breakfast appear elsewhere on the BBC London output, as reporters or bulletin readers. For Leeds viewers it just looks like there are 6 different breakfast hosts who never appear anywhere else.
