Most of last week and all this week we have had Alister Mann being the Co-Presenter with Lucy Meacock on Granada Reports, Tony was there on Thursday last week and maybe Monday. Is he off on Holiday or is he unwell?

I haven't heard anything about a departure for Tony Morris, I presume he is away.

It is quite common for Presenters to take time off in August, it happened last year and Trevor Green presented the programme quite often.

2004 the Current Affairs occasional series is on Next Thursday, maybe Tony is doing a special feature for that. He is the main presenter on that after all.

I see Tony is back now, maybe he was doing something for 2004 (Thursday Night 1930).

Does anybody know of any changes going on at Granada.?.

Cerys Griffiths and Dan Walker have moved on, I wonder if we will see some new faces in the coming weeks.

Well it was Lucy who was presenting 2004 tonight, not Tony, but it was the same one as billed, though when he was presenting on Granada Reports tonight it was evident that he had a cold, so hence why he's probably off.

I don't know about anyone else but the thing they use at 6.15 to promote the later stories in the blue thing is really starting to annoy me, there appears to be more blue than ever on it.

Well I think this thread should be renamed 'Where's Lucy?' rather than Where's Tony, all week it has been Tony Morris and Ann O'Connor, though they have been good IMO.

I forked myself out for a TV Card today and was messing with it whilst watching Granada Reports, though there was a good cock up at 6.15 when a report wouldn't play, they then went back to the presenters and then to the Evening News preview, though I've also noticed that Granada have started messing with the astons and straps and it looks quite good, they've also appeared to have got rid of that awful blue thing they use when stories are in brief, here's an example....

Why do the regions not do a live graphic the same as what is used on ITV News. Border did this once, and if they can do it, I'm sure other regions can. I thought the whole point of having the same astons was so everything looked the same as ITV News.

We don't even have a Live caption in the Meridian region, all live's are still labeled as 'newslinks', why I really don't know it seemed silly when they started doing it, it's even worse now since the generic look, they basically use a small part of the aston design only the wrong way up (with the blue on top and the silver bit below) it looks ugly.
