Do Sky News really deserve to be NCOTY again? Two consecutive years... what do you think?

Bit of a stupid question, isn't it?

Why isn't CNN nominated??? They deserve it the most, they have great presenters, news stories and a lot of great programmes.

Over those two years Sky News has gone down hill. It's terrible now, single presenters, hours behind the desk, tabloid headlines, terrible graphics. Now that they've won it again, John Ryley will assume everyone loves Sky, and they have a winning formula! However, they NEED to change, the schedule, the way bulletins are presented on screen, the graphics, the order of news, sometimes they're top story is ridiculous.

BBC News 24, I'll admit I didn't want that to win, as that itself has its problems, not as bad as Skys though.

I think AlJazeera English should have won it, in a year its done quite a lot, had great stories and exclusives, great presentation and presenters.

Because CNN is shamefully Americanised. I am sure the RTS wanted something British about the nominations. Then again, AJE was nominated... but then again they voted Sky News as the winners... which must mean that their thought of Britain was that everybody was too thick to watch a News Channel for more than a 15 minute summary, hence it should win.

That argument is wafer thin ...

Sky now seem to have around 4 stories a day which they recycle every 10 minutes, before having their overpaid, loud mouthed [Kay] presenter flirt with the sports person before going to some bored, demoted presenter read us very quickly all the important stories.

News 24 should have won any day...

Despite Kay Burley, I still prefer Sky News over News 24 any day.

I had a chance to watch News 24 this week and I'm not impressed. Yes,it's good they have 2 presenters but it would be the same if they had one presenter, because they have 0 chemistry. Not once have I seen their anchors talk to each other. Is it forbiden??? Rolling Eyes The only ones who make contact are Simon and Carrie. Very Happy

I like their set but they will leave it soon and move to a boring set with no newsroom.

Of course I'm talking about presentation here. BBC's coverage of news is very good, but Sky is still the one I turn to for breaking news.
