I don't like that they have kept the 'Showbiz' sting...

It just all looks so half-hearted, with some bits just kept back from the old package and slipped in, hoping no-one will notice

Come on guys, its much much better than before. They've tried, its not bad at all. They changed to much more minimilist graphics, the tickers very nice, I like the new logo and the straps are very nice too.

I don't like the News Channel of the Year breakbumper, but I like everything else. Its so much better.

...and those bits so far are, the Showbiz sting, and...er.....

I like the new TOTH music, but surprised that no other music changes have been made. It would have been nice to have a change.

The live bug, the weather graphics, BN yellow ticker etc.

Again the TOTH was messy. The Sky News logo flys towards you then... black screen. It's better than the cube, but no major change, as already predicted on here yesterday. I will see how the TOTHs look when I get home from work and they've ironed out the creases.

The ticker was looking so much better without the yellow breaking news colour. I love the idea, and I hope when we see the first Breaking News strap, that will be yellow too. It's just the shade of yellow they've chosen is not great.

I'm sure in Sky News style, there'll be lots of tweaks in the coming days.

...all changed...well, granted with the exception of the actual weather map...

TOTH is good, musically it builds up to a crappy sky news bed which sorta ruins it.

I think it looks much much fresher,there is so much more space on the screen,the old black ticker took up so much of the screen.I like the logo by itself in the top left and I actually really like all the animations.

One thing i would say is that the LIVE bug is way way too big.

But overall i think its all looks great.

Its only big because of the length of the location. I wouldn't call it big either, just too long.

I'm just going by the video Bail posted, but with regards to the way the straps and name astons animate on, is that really the way it looks on screen?? Jesus, that's vile, it looks like an OTT Powerpoint effect, and during the TOTH headlines, like it has melted together with the Windows Flip 3D effect, awful. Some aspects are much better though, like the smaller less prominent ticker and ditching the spinning tower with the time/date.
