Contemptible gutter-snipe, Piers Moron, is alluding to being the next replacement for Larry King, when he finally hangs up his mic at CNN.

Has his disgraceful exit from editing the Mirror for publishing fake pictures of soldiers (google it) been airbrushed from his biog, then?

Is the fact that he's a slimy, talentless toad who's interview technique is to repeat "how did it feel ?" endlessly not setting alarm bells off to producers, that he might in fact, be a pile of steaming garbage - and not in remotely the same league as Mr King?

What's going on with the world?

Does anyone out there like or rate Moron?

I agree with your comments, Gav.

However, if he's stuck in the US feeding his drivel to Americans, then he can't be on UK TV as much.

That can only be a good thing: although rather selfish!

I thought this. If he's in the US every night he can't be in the UK. Hurrah!

Has Larry King quit btw?

Less people, year on year, according to the article above; but he's still highly regarded by many.

One of his regular guests is Judy Sheindlin (of Judge Judy fame), and they chew the fat about topical matters of today.

Those particular interviews I seek out on You Tube and suchlike, as they're really quite fascinating.

Can't see her agreeing to speak to slithering Moron.

If it means him leaving the country - and subsequently our television screens - then I'm all for it.

I don't rate him at all either, Gavin. Can just about handle him as a judge on BGT but can't stand to watch any of his own shows.

I do the same too - Judge Judy and Larry always make for an interesting hour. There are a few others that I love to see opposite Larry but gay-sation Kathy Griffin is another favourite. She was on this past Saturday with her mum, who has recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

EDIT: Back on topic, I think CNN are more concerned with filling their now vacant 8pm slot, and there are rumours that a panel show (in a 'Crossfire' vein) is being developed. Elliot Spitzer (former 'Sheriff of Wall Street') has also been linked CNN (and to MSNBC after he recently served as a substitute anchor on The Dylan Ratigan Show). Democrat strategist James Carville has also been in the public eye recently after his 'Mr President, we're dying down here' comments on Good Morning America; he is already well utilised by CNN as a political contributor, and his wife of many years (whose name escapes) is a well respected Republican strategist. Other names include former MSNBC anchor David Schuster who lost his weekday afternoon slot for allegedly filming a pilot with CNN.

Although, despite this news ............

Piers Morgan is likely to commit to ITV for another two series of Life Stories, a report has claimed.

The Guardian understands that the presenter, who is currently in talks with CNN in the view of becoming the first Englishman to host a talkshow in the US, will also sign a deal to continue his Piers Morgan on... travel documentaries.

Apparently a man very much in demand, on both sides of the pond.

What a well rounded constructive response there.
