Thats the usual set-up, although some would say this is a testing time, using different presenters and seeing how they cope. Ala Dermot and the six

Maxine M seems an odd choice. I can only remember her presenting an weekday bulletin agessss ago.
If Dermot and George don't do the Ten if both Huw and Fiona are away, wouldn't Darren Jordan normally step in. I can remember him doing it a few times before.

Maybe..but then again maybe using Maxine is because no-one can do it. The readers do have personal lives so maybe doing something that night, hence getting someone in from News 24 to do it who would be more than willing to.

Maxine is OK, actually. Why shouldn't she be given a shot at it? Good to see some fresh, yet capable, faces on the bulletins. Keeps us all interested and talking about it, after all.
I agree though that people like Sissons and Jordon seem a more logical choice.
Has Witchell given up newscasting altogether? He would also be a good choice, IMO. I know some of you don't like him, but I am sure he would make a refreshing face change a couple of times a month, would he not?

I agree, although Maxine is a surprising choice; I would have thought that Sian or Jane with their experience on the One and the Six would have been more obvious choices (Sian has co-presented the Ten once before, with Huw at Westminster), I think that Maxine will be good, perhaps they're testing her with a view to her joining the team, not necessarily on the Ten like Emily on Newsnight . Also, non-one's down for Mon-Wed, perhaps Nick Witchell will do it then, although it seems unlikely. He did present the Six and Bank Holiday Bulletins in the 1999-2001 era.

Don't forget Thursday and Friday are both important nights for Children in Need.... rehearsals on Thurs and show on Fri might mean that most presenters will in fact be unavailable. Sophie and Fiona were very rushed last year.
