I was up early this morning and stumbled across 'London Live Review'. After titles showcasing Anthony, Claudia Liza (?) and Vanessa over the original LL theme, the show crashed straight into Anthony reporting from Westminster last Wednesday evening.
Basically the programme comprised news reports spliced together with no anchor. The 2nd half hour was news from Thursday.
I'm not complaining about the format - I could actually see it working as a late night and early morning catch-up, especially if the stories were from earlier the same day - but to use content not quite a week old seemed very odd. The programmes actually showed the date in the top left hand corner.

Vanessa is now full time with Look East, where her talents are being utilised than on LL.
I get the feeling that if Made TV operated the London local tv licence, they'd be a lot more pro-active than the current operator.
I don't think they'd be on air with rolling coverage though. These stations just haven't got the resources.
I think Made would be capable - at least the more experienced stations such as Leeds, Bristol and Cardiff. I don't think any of them have interrupted programmes before but Leeds were pretty quick off the mark and live from the scene of the murder of Jo Cox. Bristol and Cardiff run live two hour programmes daily which include live links from reporters out and about.
In the case of Leeds, yes they did a decent job of covering the Jo Cox murder, but in fairness much of the coverage consisted of interviewing people who had just been on other broadcasters.
I'm not sure you can compare that to having to resource and newsgather for rolling news.
Nice capture. Well the refresh is nice. I prefer the new news-sier music. The news open is decent. Too bad they still have that awful presenter, Anythony Baxter. That guy can suck the life out of any broadcast. He could barely intro the anniversary video with flubbing and stumbling around. Geez. The new idents are kinda blah. And the teal slides have a very Channel 4 feeling to them...the chevron things...feel like the Ch4 pieces. Not bad overall.
