Since Sky News is undergoing a relaunch it got me thinking as to what TV Forum posters would do if they ran a news channel of their own. If you had anyone who apears on TV news - or radio/TV generally - to chose from, who would you chose and how would you schedule them? Just a bit of fun.

I propose the following:

6.00 Daybreak -- Kate Garraway, Stephen Cole
9.00 The Wright Stuff - Matthew Wright (phone-in show as per C5)
10.00 Morning News -- Lisa Aziz, Martin Stanford
12.00 Afternoon News -- Katie Derham, Alistair Yates
2.00 The Jane Moore Show (news discussion in front of a studio audenience a la Dayside on Fox
3.00 Breaking News -- Julian Worricker, Kate Silverton
6.00 The News with Jeremy Thompson (straight-forward flagship newscast)
7.00 Hardball with Richard Littlejohn (news and opinion)
8.00 The Front Page with Piers Morgan (how the day's top stories have been covered by TV and newspapers)
9.00 Nicky Campbell (interviews and phone-in)
10.00 Nightline with Jeremy Thompson (news analysis, interviews)
10.30 Left, Right and Centre with Andrew Neil and Andrew Rawnsley (political news round-up)
11.00 The Eleventh Hour with Rod Liddle (discussion of the day's lighter news stories, culture/arts etc.)
12.00-6.00 Overnight News -- a selection of younger anchors such as Ana Boulter, Ellie Crissell, Sophie Long,

Please feel free to slag away! I would love to see other posters' schedules...

Oh what the hell.

06:00-09:00 Headliners. More laid back, studio discussion on the mornings news.
09:00 - 01:00 News. Anchored from top-story by on location reporter. (More focus on the story, with a more "comprohensive" round-up from the bottom half of the hour)
01:00-02:00 The World At One. Simular to the One O'Clock News but with more of a focus on Buisness, World News, Politics and Hard Hitting interview.
02:00-06:00 News. Presented from the main studio at the top of the hour before moving into the newsroom at the bottom half. Would be deadicated to World News .
06:00-08:00 News. Presented from on-location reporters.
08:00-08:30 Hardtalk. Would include a news summary at the top of the hour and be presented from the newsroom.
08:30-09:00 News.
09:00-12:00 News. With deadicated programmes every quarter-to the hour, such as Health Check; Despatch Box and Fast Track Express.
12:00-01:00 The World at Midnight. Simular to the World at One.
01:00-05:00 Overnight News Service.
