And this one proves that Maitlis doesn't need Sopel to make her crack-up. She can manage that on her own.

Clip 2 - Where had Louise been ? She would have been in the other N6 studio half an hour before. Having a quick coffee & forgot the time?

One thing I take from those clips, Alistair Yates was a consummate professional and is sorely missed at BBC News.

Was that newsreader climbing over his desk to get the pen actually broadcast? I've seen it so many times but I just find it so odd that anyone would do that live on air. It's just so... redundancy inducing!

CNN's 1996 blooper reel is on YouTube and is worth a watch, Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ByUxbG97bM and follow the links at the end of each part

It's not a newsreader, it's Tim Vine doing a paper review. One of the things I love about that clip is the combination of suit, shirt, trousers.... and old white trainers

Here he is a few years later causing more trouble on BBC News: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-11063564

And same day, same studio, different comedian: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1MgQEmZoAw

I don't know how true this one is with Jonathan Charles from WNT, but it's pretty funny nonetheless.

The headline would probably have been something like "Kept hidden for almost two decades and forced to bear children; Elisabeth Fritzl speaks out about her ordeal..."

Johnathan Charles always had a weird way of structuring sentences.
