Outside Source has returned to it's normal length at 2100, so no longer an extra edition of Sportsday to fill the gap.

Does the second half hour of Outside Source start at :29 past the hour. For my TiVo on BBC WN the beginning of the second half hour is cut off because of this.

Indeed. It does start at 29 past.

It's just drives me nuts a bit because the show on my TiVo sets it up as two half hours. However when I view the show later I stop the playback during the weather and skip to the second back half hour recording where sometimes complete sentences would be cut up. Even if watched to :29 past I'd still lose a sentence as the TiVo stops and restarts recording.

Tonight's late news has been extended from 20 to 25 minutes. The teatime bulletin remains the same it seems.

Those trailers that are shown at various points advertising what's coming up on the News Channel (usually shown before Business Live, News at One & Outside Source) - is Jane Hill now the voiceover for them? She certainly sounds familiar.

12 noon and a treat!! 75 seconds of the countdown to meet the BBC1 bulletin at 12 o'clock. But then the Dateline London skyline graphics still on the ring round the front of the desk.

I think it looks quite nice, if the red is coloured darker it would be a nice replacement to what they have now.

Night Thoughts
Last night's Sportsday had a breaking news strap at about 10.50pm for reports Jose Mourinho was in talks with Manchester United.

Unfortunately, the headline on the strap read INSERT HEADLINE HERE.

It was quickly removed... then came back for a second, longer appearance. Not long enough for me to grab a photo, though.

HEADLINE HERE has been popping up a bit too much last week during the biz bulletins.

Yesterday, the VDP ticker details were still scrolling across during the 1100-1200 BBC News bulletin.

I spotted that too. I think it was earlier yesterday that a different problem occurred as well - there were no graphics on screen until all of the graphics that should have appeared from the beginning of the hour up until the point I was watching cycled through in quick succession (including the BBC News box). After that happened, the ticker reappeared.
