BBC News Channel Business in Brief bed

Have just heard a bit of music on the news channel I've never head before, a very calm bed for the business in brief news. Was rather nice.

How long has this been in use and are there any more new bits of music in use recently?

As far as I'm aware this has been in use since 2008. Doesn't always get used though.

It was introduced in 2009 Pete. Before that they used to use the old Business Today bed from 2001 for biz in brief. The new biz music is also used for Your Money albeit with a sting on the front. That's usually shown on Saturday morning.

I must say I do like the "new" biz bed as well. The piano in it is nice - it sounds a bit like World News Today. Mind you, I also liked the original Business Today theme music too.

On a related note, did you know that on BBC World, the 1997 flags era World Business Report music is STILL being used?! Not that I'm complaining - it's rather nice to keep one link to the past. All the other programmes have had 2 or 3 themes in that time.
