BBC One has Huw Edwards from 2.40pm to 4pm

ITV1 (and NC) apparently has Alastair Stewart presenting coverage from St Paul's, but it's not in the schedule or on the EPG.

It's the first such royal/religious/ceremonial event since the Sky News relaunch - will they give it the usual treatment with Alistair Bruce?

Did I just hear what I thought I heard... after the memorial coverage, it was over to CBBC and the dimwit presenter (male) said after introducing the programmes, ''we're on a little later today, and we're going to have things a bit more interesting than the queen's hat.'' Hello, doesn't he know what the memorial was about?

Yes I heard that! Something along the lines of "we have something later more interesting than what's in the Queen's silly hat" Rolling Eyes Even Angelica (is it?) was surprised!

There's just no need for that at all. Maybe if it was the Queen's Jubilee then it would be slightly more acceptable but not after a memorial service. I hope his director says something about it to him.

I take it we are talking about Andrew?

Yes I watched this in disbelief too - entirely inappropriate after a memorial service. What sort of an idiot is this fella?

As always a polished performance by the BBC from St Paul's - they really love that place Smile
The incredibly slow wide tilts downwards are so very effective - not only do they look so good in their own right, anything can also be cut up against it offering many directorial choices.

Always wondered this - does anyone know if St Paul's is hardwired for broadcast? Obviously most of the cablng would be temporary, but surely there is some that is permanently installed, notably for the lighting - is there cabling and sockets hardwired for these?

It's always most impressive how the lighting cabling is never evident for these events - there must be miles of the stuff.

I was a little surprised to see that the BBC ONE programme was made by BBC Manchester!

That's where BBC Religion & Ethics is based.
