Inspired by Pip2 (whose mocks are brilliant, by the way), I decided to do make some mock ITV idents of my own. By using some real-life footage and embossing parts of the ITV logo.

I created different ident music by altering the original music (I also used some creative commons and royalty-free music)
Geraldine Park

I created this music from scatch

Flashing Light (with Fade-in-Fade-out logo)

(with Fade-in-and-stay-throughout logo)

WARNING: The Light ident contains flashing images.

London Eye/City Lights (with Fade-in-Fade-out logo)

I can see what you're going for but you've missed the mark a little bit.

Take a look at some of the actual ITV idents and genuinely analyze the content. They feature one shot (which you seem to have picked up on) but they have much slower motion than your video. They are also much more stable - try and stabilize the video in your editing suite, assuming you're using a mobile phone to film the clips, so wouldn't be able to do much in the way of capturing more stable video.

Now. You do have a point there. I have used one shot on my mocks. I have also used a slow-motion footage in the flashing light ident.

Nice to see someone trying to create new versions of ITV idents, but i'm sorry these are all quite poor. The footage is very shaky, quite poor quality, and in the last one you can see reflections in the window. The flashing lights one is too intense with fast flashing lights.

I don't think people realise how much work actually goes into making the ITV idents, its not just a case of grabbing a camera and filming any old random stuff they can find. If you actually watch them properly, they are filmed carefully, slowly, and focus only on certain aspects in each shot.

Try making a new one, find somewhere you can take your time to film, somewhere where no one is going to bother you, get in your way etc, film slowly, and maybe do the same or similar shot several times so you can pick the best version.

I hope you do take this further, I would love to see you take time and improve your mock, please don't let my comments put you off as that is not what I am intending. Good luck Smile

I will. I should have put a warning for flashing lights in this forum

I have also recreated the ITV Breakbumpers. I recreated the ITV Fold since its easy to recreate.
Original:

And some others:

And of course Good Morning Britain:

I will make some more breakbumpers and idents as well.

I have also made some miscellaneous presentation:

The font I used is my own altered version of 'Sans' (which is an open source and free font). I altered it to make it look similar to the ITV Reem font but not exactly the same.

You've started to get the speed a little bit better, but there's still a few little kinks. The camera doesn't stop moving in the actual idents, so try to keep it moving at all times.

I think the main issue with the window ident in my opinion is the footage itself. You'll notice the ITV idents are all filmed at ground level as far as I know, and usually involve moving backwards or forwards. An example of this in your window ident would be a shot of those Santander cycles (?) at a right angle and slowly panning backwards, opposed to moving side to side.
