With BBC World News to move to BH in June as we all know, i thought... what if they dont do a major rebrand, and instead just tweak the graphics in a similar way to the 2007 tweak to the ribbons.

COUNTDOWN:
First the countdown sequence which would involve a glassy textured ball featuring changing images of newsgathering and programme making. The camera and graphics would move around the globe as shown in the images below.
*

*

*

*

*
As the globe passes, a new larger logo is formed from within the globe, and is left in the middle of the screen as the globe exits stage left...
*

*

This final endboard would probably not stay on screen more than a second before the headlines/titles of whatever news programme.
*
Channel idents would be similar to the countdown and would feature a live image of the newsroom within the globe before the graphics.

BBC WORLD NEWS BULLETINS:
The Network titles... The globe would form from the white background...
*

*

...the camera would then fly inside for the title sequence...
*

*

*

*

*

...before pulling back out to reveal the end board.
*

*

We would then transition to reveal the studio.
*
(The Above Image is a photoshop touch-up of an original BBC render of Broadcasting House Studio B, the only thing i have done to it is to add my own graphics package. The studio itself was not created by me.)

BBC WORLD NEWS TODAY:
Images of various world landmarks apper inside a globe surrounded by a saturn-rings effect concluding with an image of broadcasting house...
*

...before transitioning to the final end board form up...
*

*

...a mock up of the studio backdrop...

Definitely want to see more. Very impressive so far, although not sure about the blue. BBC News should just be red IMO. Maybe change it to black or a darker shade of red. I'm a traditionalist!

Any chance of animations?

Yeah would most definitely like to see some animation as well. I did see some online a while ago that were quite decent mocks of World News and Business Edition.

Very nice! But I disagree with aconnell about the blue and I think it looks very nice. I would also like to see animations. But so far looks great!

Very nice! Would like to see how the rest of the World News programmes would look like ie World News America.

I have a new concept for Idents and countdown which i have been thinking about for a while so will be doing that in the next few weeks, and i will definitely look at doing World News America... maybe World News Today and Newsday as well. Other programmes such as The Hub, GMT, Impact, World Business Report and Sport Today would not be branded the same so i'm not going to include them in this ongoing project.

I know the ones you mean Gaz they were by youtube user michalg1991 - they are superb.

Decided to use the light blue as it makes it stand out from the current version of the branding. The BBC Red is still there in the graphics, and its not as if BBC News graphics have deviated from red before... 1999 Custard anyone? (I will have a look at different colours in the globe like red & black instead of blue.)

These were produced as still images in Adobe Illustrator. I'd love to animate them but unfortunately I don't have the relevant programmes or relevant skills. Crying or Very sad

I really like this. I also agree that there is no problem with the blue. The main BBC brand is red but even at present we have greys, oranges and blacks entering the titles. It looks great. Please continue with graphics etc!

It has a similar glossy feel of the new North West Tonight look in fact.

Really liking idea of the glassy-looking globe. It does at a glance appear to be more textural rather than being clearly reflective, but I appreciate this depends on your thinking behind the design - and this is a high quality sample already, on the mark as a tweak of the current look. The blue is just fine, certainly not alien to branches of BBC News and I have no qualms - good stuff!
