websites saying you can watch tv channels

There are several, all appear to charge in dollars, saying you can quite legally watch thousands of satelite channels on the pc. Are these really legal? Are they any good? Seems to good to be true (and legal) to me. I notice that they do not say what channells are actually available, only genre. I could end up paying for one thousand channels dedicated to watching paint dry. I did sign for a download tv site once, presumaing it would give me access to a library. It was merely links to other sites. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. New to this so sorry if I put it in wrong bit!

I find they only ever carry channels that stream online. If they do have any satellite channels that don't stream online worldwide, it's strictly illegal. Don't waste your money.

Ignore it. It's not true and it may even be handing your bank details to a fraudster.

thanks I will take your word for it. I thought all this and just needed confirmation. I would ask this though. How come they are able to feature so high on a yahoo search. Why have they not been dealt with

Because they are ranked according to the number of websites that link to them or depending on how much they paid to Yahoo to be advertised in the Sponsored Link section.
