For tonight and all of tomorrow, ** is being dedicated to the rebrand of ITV1 to plain old ITV, and BBC World News move to Broadcasting House. With the most instant dedicated online discussion of the rebranding of ITV and BBC World News, ** is your one-stop shop for stuff you simply can't post on TV Forum, such as:
  • That video of Asa being inaugurated as the US president
  • The 27th letter of the alphabet
  • Charlotte Gane
We hope you can join us for on the most exciting night of 2013 so far.

We're all set up - should be an interesting 12 hours!

At 9pm, ** will be holding a special discussion about the ITV documentary 'Inside Death Row with Sir Trevor McDonald'.

Amongst other things we will discuss the rights and the wrongs of capital punishment, the system in Indiana and whether the DOG on ITV is distracting your viewing.

Some big news: ** has launched it's first TV advertising campaign. We've been advertised on channel 192 on Sky.

Whether you're wanting something to do whilst you're ignoring the charity bits, or you want somewhere to boast your millions in donations, you're welcome to pop along to **.

Is the (frankly hideous) giant advert really required for each post? It’s a massive file size too. Whilst I’m obviously happy for media related websites to appear here, it's becoming a bit tenuous. I think members are aware of **’s content now – maybe making use of the site’s homepage to advertise what’s coming up would be more sensible.

You're gonna mightily hurt bilky asko's feelings with posts like that Asa.

The site is going through a major redevelopment - it was set up on an experimental basis, so basically no effort went in to the phpBB installation which serve's as the chat room's homepage. It will be retooled such that it doesn't look like an empty forum, but like a chat room with gaudy posters for events - essentially when I have time.

Since our membership is derived almost entirely from TV Forum, it seems sensible to me that we use this thread to plug upcoming events - contrary to what you've alluded to we generally get more people in (and more new registrations) when we've advertised in this manner rather than just shoving something in mine and Joe's signature.

As WillPS has already mentioned, the homepage is not in a state to be able to show images.

The file size is 151 KB. I don't wish to be rude, but the image downloaded well enough on my very ropey 3G connection - I'm sure the dial-up members already have images switched off or compressed using their browser.

As a web developer, it's hardly tricky to edit index_body.html so that it has a link to a single image you can simply change when required.
