NEW ITV nightly chat show- NAT to be moved

As expected, Scotland Tonight shunts back to 11pm as a result of the change. Not catastrophic I suppose, it was the old start time for Newsnight Scotland.

I bet STV will be keep a close eye on the ratings of everything after 10pm, If that chat show doesn't get the viewers and Scotland Tonight goes down I wouldn't rule out a swap.

NEW ITV nightly chat show- NAT to be moved

I still think it would be better off at 10.40( ITV) 11.10( Stv)

ITV don't seem to understand how and why those talk show work in the USA. Also there is no room for it to expand the content, maybe to 45mins? Strange thing is UK seem to better at doing talk show at 5pm time slot.

What will happen after 8 weeks is that it finished and then ITV will look at the overall look of the series?

TVS Post-1993

My own stance is what is needed is nothing short of a physical inspection of the attic at the Maidstone Studios to confirm whether any tapes from the TVS archive reside there and which programmes.

There is nothing there, phone them and there will tell you that. The building was gutted out to refurbish it.

Back on topic as with my last post where own the share did Mary sell of share which would be agiast the contract she signed?

TVS Post-1993

Who owned the other assets? This may sound draft but back in 1987/88 remember the company was overhauled so the TV part become TVS televisions,

What about the other asset? If we know which sold which part of the company then maybe we're get a better idea:

* Southampton Studios
* Gillian threater
* London office

in 1986 TVS was successful in buying
* Midem, an organisation that promoted trade fairs,
* Gilson International a Los Angeles distribution company selling programmes outside the US.
* TVS also acquired a 3.5% stake in Australia Network Ten company Northern Star.

Also is another interesting fact
Quote:
By 7 July 1988, MTM was brought for £190M, which give Mary Tyler Moore 5.1% and Arthur Price, chief executive of MTM, 6.6% shares in TVS. Both agreed not to sell for a period of five years.

Which would make it 7 July 1993.... 4 months after TVS was sold off, did IFE get hold of their share? is this the reason why TVS television was still a spreate company? Mary Tyler Moore just died this week, for all we know still held share somewhere.

Comedy Central

I;m starting to think the owner have given up on this channel. Content is running years behide the US counterpart. ( its bad enough now axed Mike and molly just getting aired now )

Two new series, Triptank ( which is over 18months old only if its S2) and Leggends of Chamberland Heights have been pushed right back to 1am slots, pushing the daily show to 2am. It was being classed as part of a new animation slot with both shows going out at 11pm slots, but this evening its been replaced with comedy roast of Justin bieber which is 2 hours long.

While the weekends daytime is filled with repeats of Fresh prince and Friends...

ITV Idents (Post Christmas)

Agree

Tthat promo was helpful, but if you do spot any more horse idents do please say Alex, It was believe there were getting used on a Saturday morning only but if there appeared else where then maybe there become part of the mix.

Yep. I think it is. There's an ITV4 version (it's pretty bland).

ITV4 only seem to have 3 of them but seems to have stopped using them, of course the best one is no5
