Since were currently talking about Living TV, maybe someone might be able to clear something up:

http://www2.tv-ark.org.uk/otherchannels/living.html the ident with the Lamp is from Sunday 5th March 2000, as the film Broken Angels is on at Tuedays 7th March at 9pm.

The person who created the next set of ideants state there were introduced in December 2000, but that is conflicking with the next TV ark video from xmas 2000/01 BUT the web address if for "livingtv"

You can see another eg of the Living ident with out TV http://www.tvarchive.org.uk/TVA/?p=TVA%20Digital/channels/search.php&act=search

Website was changed over to the new logo around May 2000,

Questions:

* Did the new set of ident have two versions at the same time? some with TV somewith out? IF not when did Ident change over form the live action shots to the Carlton-esqe versions?

* Also were the 99 idents used injuction with the set introduced in 1997 http://www.tv-live.org.uk/wp/index.php/sky/sky-living/living-1997-2000/

Something I didn't realise; shortly after the rebrand where 'living' became Living*, they had in vision studio based links between programmes. This didn't last very long at all - I recently watched the entire period of Brookside with the Jordache's, and only the very earliest episodes from that period featured this continuity.

I notice from poking around on the itnsource.com website that the much-derided (at the time anyway) Hardwicke House appears be available - all seven episodes of it. Rumours abound in 1987 (Broadcast magazine, apparently) that the entire series was wiped either by Central voluntarily or under direct orders of the IBA - clearly didn't happen. Wiki says it's been available all long (usual reliability restrictions apply with this statement).

Surprising it's never been aired since, since the boundaries have moved a lot since 1987, and a lot worse stuff than that has been transmitted since then.

October 1997
http://www.tv-live.org.uk/wp/index.php/sky/sky-living/living-1997-2000/

I get the idents from 1999 were additions, * http://www2.tv-ark.org.uk/otherchannels/living.html the ident with the Lamp is from Sunday 5th March 2000, as the film Broken Angels is on at Tuedays 7th March at 9pm.

MAY 2000

* Xmas ident from 2000 is from 1st January 2001: http://www2.tv-ark.org.uk/otherchannels/living.html The person who created the next set of ideans state there were introduced in December 2000, but that is conflicting with the next TV ark video from xmas 2000/01 BUT the web address if for "livingtv" unless that is the date given to Living?

I have to ask about University Challenge.

Edit: It seems the first series took a while before it appeared November ( ie 6 weeks after) This then opens up the question were all the episodes actually broadcast? IE STV, Grampian, Border, UTV and TT.
6th November before it appeared, ( Tuesday) the feeds switched to Granada Feed at 10.10pm on Mondays from mid January 1963.

Also the there was no series of 1985, when it come back in 1986 and 1987 it was networked and stripped across the week.

The stupid thing is if it only broadcast and network weekday morning, then LWT couldn't have broadcast it anyways, IE there NEVER dropped it.

May be open to dispute here, because according to UkGameShows.com, 1985 was won by the Open University. The website http://www.blanchflower.org/uc/ however, doesn't list a 1985 series (same source Wiki is using).

TV ark has captures and a video claimed to be from 1985, but I don't know the broadcast history so this may be either from a repeat, or a series started in 1984 and finished in 1985, like it appears to run today (2014).

Clips of University Challenge from 1985 on TV ark where broadcast in 1986: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGyhhH0v9Ec Same set, and he even says finally has a new set and new game. EDIT its the SAME CLIP!!

There is Nothing in the TV listings on either the Times, the Guardian or Scottish herald. But does turn up for a 8 week run 5 days a week 7 April 1986 to 30 May 1986. Of course if it switched from a weekly to stripped format it would need to build up a block. Thursday, Dec 27, 1984 is the last time it turns up, before 1985.

Alas some of the pages on UkGameShows.com cant be trusted at the moment , mainly due to the face the site has been left to rot, thankful some people ARE STILL trying to clean it up but the owner who is now selling up, will hopeful give it to someone who will try and make amends

Turns out the show on the 27 Dec was xmas special in which the winners of the year played the winners from 1983.

The final run of the main series was on Friday 21 Dec, 1984, and was a special tie breaker show.

Getting back on track, when Central took over from ATV, some schools programming with the ATV ident had a "Central Presents" slide in front, before the ATV ident. But, I'm sure some normal programmes had it as well. Am I right, and if so, which ones?
