Good job it's EDF who are the local power company then
SSE do cover a slice of West and N W London though, but not quite Wembley
Surely the likes of SSE and EDF are just 2 of the many companies you buy your power from and they're non-geographic these days.
The company that supplies London and south eastern England is 'UK Power Networks'
Yes, but only one per area runs and maintains the physical network, you don't have a dozen different power feeds coming into your house SSE run the network in my area (Southern Electricity in old money)
I'd forgotten EDF, who swallowed up LEB, have been further swallowed up. It's ITV all over again; there back on topic ! ,

Yep, though I'm sure people call EDF, the consumer brand, when they've lost their power.
Hadn't realised that down south it had stayed pretty much on brand. Everywhere else the likes of Western Power and UK Power sprung up from nowhere a few years back.
Didn't Southern Electricity have a similar logo to Meridian? (bringing it back on topic)

They do, though now there's a single national number, 105, that diverts the call to the relevant distribution company.

Even more fascinating is that XF's target audience watched Planet Earth II over it.

I watched Planet Earth II then switched over to X Factor which had been recording. Managed to catch up and see the end live.
Something that I found mildly irritating (same in previous years) is that the final Sunday show is still introduced as a results show when I think it should be The X Factor final part II.

Wow 1.5m watched last night in Finland thanks to Saara Aalto. 2.5m Finns watched at some point over the weekend. Not bad considering only 5.5m living in the country. It's the highest rating ever for the channel Sub. I noticed they provided the placards the audience were holding during her homecoming performance. Bet they couldn't believe their lucky when she made it to the live shows.

Do they show X Factor UK all the time? I couldn't make out from the article. I'm guessing it was live translated.
